I prefer atheist as I think the compromise encourages woolly ideas such as religion being necessary for decency and compassion. (I should have said rational, rather than ration in my posting by the way - typo.)INFORMATION

Re: Unkind Atheists
I prefer to use the term "anti theist" because I am not only an Atheist, (with no belief of my own) but I'm against all forms of organised religion and the destruction it causes.
I really don't care what anybody, theist or not, thinks about my stance or my label.

Yes, sometimes people assume that because I am an atheist I am also amoral. Actually, I explain, I am immoral cos I'm a very naughty boy. Atheism has nothing to do with it.

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Re: Unkind Atheists
I've had people tell me that I'm "too nice to be an atheist."
I wonder how nice they'd think I was if they knew I was secretly thinking, "And you're far too intelligent to be a Christian!"
