Re: Abolish ‘faith’ schools
Sorry, should have read 3 'religious' folk' Alan H You should volunteer... :D Do you wonder why some people give up on this site? Snarky fucking remarks after every post! I get the impression that you're not happy with an Englishman happily living in Scotland, while you as a Scotsman have to put up ...

Re: Abolish ‘faith’ schools
Pleased to report, of the 29 schools and 2 colleges in Shetland none are or ever have been 'faith schools' Unfortunately like all Scottish schools they are all obliged to have two 'religious members' On the board of governors. (Can be any religion) I'm surprised they can find 62 'religious folk' to ...

Re: Easter - again!
Ask Andrew, if Easter is about the death and resurrection of 'Jesus' Why is it not on a fixed weekend? Rather than based on the phases of the Moon? is it because the Spring equinox can vary year on year by about a month? Surely if the guy was crucified it happened on a specific date and they should ...

Lewis. I believe in the EU, I do not believe in the 'UK', which has been a vehicle for the theft of our resources. The new £800 million (not a typo) Total gas plant Has just gone live at Sullom voe, UK 'government' sources say it will provide 10 percent of UK gas. Do we in Shetland (supposedly part...

We already have Trident, does it have a 'use by date?'
Keep it by all means, re-locate it to the Thames or pay the Scottish government ££££££££££££££££££ in rent.

Re: Fixing Easter
In Fife, when I was at school, the Council took no note of the religious thing at all. If Easter didn't fall in the school holidays, well then, you were at school on that Friday and Monday. It was only when I moved elsewhere as an adult that I became aware of the crazy way the spring holiday moved ...

Tins of beans and tins of beer?Alan H
And many of them say they are not to be sold individually
I purchased two bubble wrap cards of said mobile phone 'boosters' They were clearly meant to be sold individually
Ffs it's for charity, bulk buy batteries is another good one (but check the use by date)

Re: Who Wrote the Bible and other videos
Ask your 'christian' friends why the four 'gospels' are attributed to four guys with very English names, then ask them, if the bible is the inerrant word of god, why was Paul allowed to fuck with it?
Then ask them why the 100+ other 'gospels' were left out of the bible final cut.
Good luck.

I used to pray every night for a new bike, then I realised god doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked for forgiveness.

I did similar some years ago, they were a tiny chip thing I got from ebay that 'boosted' mobile phone reception (reception here was shite at the time) Still pretty poor in some places.
I don't know if they worked as I've never had a mobile phone but they sold in the charity shop next door

Barbara Windsor should have been given a gong years ago, for services to innuendo, so it's lovely to see that, at long last, someone has given her one. :D Wasn't she best friends with the Kray twins and other assorted mobsters? Still, given some of the other dubious characters HRH invites to tea it...
